Bill is a unique jazz guitarist influenced as much by pianists and horn players as he is by guitarists. His take on harmony, rhythm, chords and improvisation sets him apart. He has taught 30 years in every educational setting. Bill holds a Masters in Jazz Studies from the prestigious Jazz Studies Program at SUNY Purchase in NY. Privately he has studied with legendary musicians and educators, Peter Rogine, JoAnne Brackeen, John Abercrombie, Mark Elf, Joe Monk, Doug Munro and many others. Currently teaches at Five Towns College on Long Island, NY. Courses taught include Jazz Guitar, Improvisation, Advanced Harmony, Ear Training, Composition, Jazz Rep and other courses as needed.
If you would like to improve your own playing Bill is also able to to teach a limited number of private students. Lessons can be in person at his personal studio or if you are in the Long Island/NYC Area arrangements can be made for lesson to take place at the college. For out of state or country students there are also a limited number of lessons available via SKYPE or Facetime.
